FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Author Shares the Challenges of Being a Christian Spouse to a Great Military Leader

DFW, TX – Charlene Curry, the wife of Jerry Curry, vividly describes for us her journey in life as a career military spouse. She recounts for us the joys and the challenges of such a lifestyle in her book, The General’s Lady. Curry battled daunting social pressures, depression, feelings of guilt, fears, and on top of all those negativities, grief over the loss of a child. She also had to share in her husband’s fight against racism while in the military as he tried to climb the ranks.

How did Charlene Curry succeed in her role as a military wife, facing her own challenges in raising her family, while meeting the expectations placed upon her? By relying on her faith in God and the strength that He gives, her life was transformed as she learned how to achieve that delicate balance of supporting her husband and family while retaining her own identity. She was thus able to be an encouragement to countless others who came in contact with her. You, too, will be encouraged and uplifted as you read The General’s Lady.

The General’s Lady is a winner of the IPPY awards for multi-cultural non-fiction at the Book of the Year awards presented by Independent Publisher, “The Voice of Independent Publishing” at Book Expo America 2007.
