FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Real
Family Feud is Played out in Essence
Bestselling Author, Patricia Haley’s
Latest Release, Chosen
ATLANTA,
(January
15, 2009)
- Have you ever heard of family feud? Well, Chosen,
by Patricia Haley is real family feud. A fierce battle ignites between
two families after the father leaves his wife and children for a
younger woman. The older, half-brother, Don, is
‘overlooked’ and the family ministry is passed on to the
younger brother, Joel. His new rise to power is met with brutal
hostility.
Based on the popular biblical kings, David and Solomon, Chosen,
by Patricia Haley, shows how nasty a family battle can get, and how
treacherous family members can be toward each other. The saying,
‘Familiarity breeds contempt’ is played out over and over
again in this compelling novel. But, will the family business be worth
the fight? Or, are the brothers fighting over more than their ministry?
Praise for Chosen:
"Patricia Haley has a gold mine with this series. If I was a hat
wearer, it would definitely be off to her. All I can say to her right
now is, You Go Girl!"

Patricia Haley, an
award winning national bestselling author, earned the title of
‘trailblazer’ after achieving remarkable success with her
first faith-based novel, Nobody's Perfect.
She self- published her debut novel in 1998 and immediately sold nearly
20,000 copies in an industry where selling 5,000 copies is highly
regarded. Her faith-based novel was the first of its kind to repeatedly
make numerous national bestsellers lists, including #1 on the Essence® bestsellers list. Her other titles include: Blind Faith, Still Waters, Let Sleeping Dogs Lie, No Regrets, and the latest release, Chosen.
Originally from Rockford, IL, Patricia now lives in Pennsylvania with
her husband, Jeffrey. With an engineering degree from
Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago,
readers are often surprised to hear that Patricia is writing
faith-based fiction, given her technical and business background.
Beyond her literary endeavors, she is a born-again believer in Christ
Jesus and has a great love for the Lord, her beloved husband, her
daughter, and her extended family. She is also a member of the Delta
Sigma Theta Public Service Sorority, Inc., where she has previously
served as Chaplain and a committee chairperson in the Valley Forge
Alumnae Chapter. As she continues to work in various venues, her desire
is that God will get the glory in all aspects of her life. Look for
future works from this voice on the literary scene.
